Overview of ELA Programs and Tuition

About the Elementary Program
Welcome to the Elementary ELA Program that offers classes for Grades 3, 4, & 5. Together, these classes offer a clear, confidence-building learning path designed to strengthen reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary through engaging, standards-aligned instruction. Whether in a Grade 3, 4, or 5 class, students move step-by-step from foundational skills to deeper comprehension and stronger written expression with lessons that are easy to follow and meaningful to apply.
Young learners will explore close reading strategies, main idea and details, text structure, author’s purpose, and drawing inferences—then use what they learn to craft well-organized paragraphs, responses to reading questions, and multi-paragraph pieces. Grammar and standard English conventions are taught in context (sentences, punctuation, parts of speech, and usage), while vocabulary is developed through word study, context clues, and academic language practice.

About the Middle School Program
Grades 6–8 courses emphasize strong, structured writing and critical thinking. Students learn to generate ideas, develop clear claims, and organize paragraphs and essays with purposeful introductions, logical transitions, and effective conclusions. Instruction focuses on using text-based evidence, explaining reasoning, and revising for clarity, voice, and precision, while strengthening sentence variety, academic vocabulary, grammar, and editing skills.
About the High School Program
The classes for Grades 9–12 are designed to build confident readers, skilled writers, and effective communicators—one grade level at a time. Students progress through a clear sequence aligned to high school expectations: Grade 9 Foundations of Rhetoric, Grade 10 Analytical Thinking, Grade 11 Advanced Composition, and Grade 12 College Readiness and Synthesis.

Each class blends targeted instruction with frequent checks for understanding. Learners strengthen grammar and sentence structure, expand academic vocabulary, and practice close reading of complex texts. Writing instruction moves from paragraph development to evidence-based analysis, argument, and synthesis—helping students learn how to plan, draft, revise, and edit with purpose. Quizzes and cumulative assessments reinforce key skills, highlight growth, and prepare students for classroom performance and high-stakes exams.
Grades 3, 4, and 5
Each lesson is built to support independent learning while still being teacher-guided, with clear objectives, modeled examples, and practice that helps students show what they know. Families will also find the structure parent-friendly, making it easier to stay involved, track progress, and celebrate growth. Upon finishing these classes, students will read with greater accuracy and understanding, write with stronger organization and clarity, and approach ELA tasks with the confidence needed for classroom success and future test readiness
